# Privacy policy

BeamDisk is made by 3rd Bit Labs LLC. In short: the app collects nothing about you or your data, and has no account.

## The BeamDisk app

- **No account, no analytics, no tracking.** BeamDisk sends nothing to 3rd Bit Labs.
- **It connects only to the storage you add**, at the addresses you enter, and to Apple through the App Store for purchases and updates.
- **CHAP secrets** are stored in your Mac's Keychain, on that Mac only, and removed when you remove the disk.
- **Performance history** (throughput, IOPS and latency) is kept for 7 days on your Mac, and never leaves it.
- **Your data** travels between your Mac and your storage only.

## Purchases

Purchases are made through the App Store with your Apple Account. Apple handles payment; 3rd Bit Labs doesn't receive your payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to the App Store.

## This website

The site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, and loads nothing from other sites except on the contact page, below.

## The contact form

- **What you send** (your name, email address, company if you give one, the category and your message) is emailed to 3rd Bit Labs and used only to answer you.
- **The spam check.** The contact page uses [Cloudflare Turnstile](https://www.cloudflare.com/turnstile-privacy-policy/), an invisible CAPTCHA, to confirm you are a human before allowing you to submit the contact form.
